The Dayton Forging & Heat Treating Company has extensive rough machining, drilling, and sawing capacity which includes over two dozen lathes and is capable of processing any forging we can produce as well as parts larger than we can produce. Our lathes run up to 50 feet in length and are capable of rapid stock removal. This allows our customers to substantially increase their own output of high quality finished machine products and not strain their equipment on heavy stock removal. Our hole drilling capacity varies from turret lathes for smaller pieces, to equipment for holes to 25 feet in depth. Where applicable, we only heat treat after rough machining has been completed, producing maximum uniformity of quality and hardness.
